Congratulations to Brother Jim Gibson on being raised at last night's meeting.

The following was submitted by Senior Warden,  Brother David Haddix:

Here is an update on the latest from Breathitt Lodge 649 F&AM. Congratulations are in order to our newly raised brother Jim Gibson of Jackson....all that meet him welcome him and encourage him to become an active part of our lodge....Also good job to EA Stephen Bowling on an outstanding EA lecture turned in at the last communication, looking forward to the FC degree at our next meeting....

Brothers we have raised a total of $185.00 through the generosity of the those present at the last two meetings to be donated this week to the Christmas Food Drive conducted by Interfaith of Breathitt county. Thanks to all those who gave to help make a better Christmas for those less fortunate.

NEW LODGE UPDATE: Once again a big thank you to Brothers Bill Deaton, Ervine Allen Jr., Doug Allen and all those involved in oversight of the new lodge hall....Brother Deaton during his update said concentration would be made on completion of the Dining Room/kitchen area in order to have it completed by Christmas Dinner. A slight construction change was made...the ceilings will remain at 12 feet, this means a slight delay as drywall work will now be done on the remaing 4 foot section in order to accomodate the higher ceiling area, however the lodge is still on schedule and more importantly on budget! The building committee estimates it will take about $30,000 to complete. Blacktop bids were reviewed for the area in front of the will be done at a cost of $2,800. The heating system was tested last week and worked well. Water service is now ready to be connected....Breathitt Heating and Cooling is ready to set the fixtures in place.

CHRISTMAS DINNER: Carol and Auburn Haddix will once again provide the entertainment for this years Christmas Dinner....Dont forget bring your family and a covered dish, Sunday, December 15th @ 2pm. Come enjoy the fellowship. Until next time.

March 22nd, 2001 9:00 p.m.

We have approval from the Grand Lodge on our web site Brothers.  Click on their link that I have posted on each page and see what's happening around the state in other Lodge's.

Also, I was asked by a Brother if we could post names of Members of Lodge 649 on our site.  It is okay to do so, but I would like each member to give the Worshipful Master, Wiley Turner,  their okay before we do so.  I will get with Brother Paul Haddix, our secretary, to see if we need to make some sort of consent form for this purpose.
